Pseudo Spring

My impatience got the best of me...


...and these definitely needed a couple more weeks in the garage for some more stem growth...


...but the olfactory symphony from these hyacinths has made it feel almost like there's a tiny bit of spring here...


...even when we've just gotten a foot of snow and bitter cold is bearing down on us.


At least, for now, I have this.

I didn't realize the cold treatment would affect the length of their stems - good to know.

Your hyacinths are so pretty, Rose and I can imagine how beautiful they must smell. Must be so nice having those colors and scents inside, especially considering what's going on outside!

Your hyacinths look better than mine. I don't know if mine will even bloom. They are wonderful for scenting the house.

I don't blame you one bit!! Even with squatty stems, they are so wonderful to see!! I bet they smell awesome??!!
